Introduction

Patamda Degree College, an affiliated unit of Kolhan University, Chaibasa, is located at the head quarter of Patamda Block under the district of East Singhbhum at a distance of 30 km. from Jamshedpur. Patamda Block is surrounded by hills and forests and is predominantly populated by the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Extremely Backward and Backward classes. This is primarily an agricultural area and as such per capita income is very low. As per government notification, Patamda Block comes under “Tribal-sub-Plan” area in East Singhbhum district.

In 1993, This college has been established by the local people under the Chairmanship of Shri A. R. Sarangi, Retd. I.A.S., Advocate, Jharkhand High Court in quest of academic excellence to the rural poor and needy ones.

AIM AND OBJECTIVES

Educating and disciplining the men of tomorrow for their real capacity building amidst the attributes of of quality education, cultural soundness, emotional stability, mental alertness, moral uprightness, social efficiency, professional wisdom, vocational skillfulness, scientific spirituality and global liberation.

RULES FOR ADMISSION

Admission to the first year of Degree Classes will be taken as per criteria of the Chancellor Portal (https://jharkhanduniversities.nic.in) .

Students must come personally with the following documents at the time of admission:

  1. School / College leaving certificate (Original).
  2. Copy of attested mark sheet and Admit Card by the Principal of that School / College.
  3. Migration Certificate (Original).
  4. Caste and Income Certificate for ST/SC/BC students(Self Attested).
  5. Two Passport Size Photographs.
  6. Blood Group Certificate.

Student seeking admission to the college have to obtain an application form and Prospectus from the college office on payment if the requisite fee. Admission form, duly filled in along with the advice required papers.

For Admission in Honours

  1. 45% marks in concerning subject.
  2. I.Sc and I.Com students with 50% marks in aggregate  for B.A. Honors except Practical Papers.
